For parents of younger kids (8-10) We are now offering drop-off sailing during SEA Open Sail.
We know some parents can't come out for sailing, but their kids are really interested in staying active.
On the following dates we will have one of our experienced youth counselors on hand along with our usual adult hosts. You can sign up and drop off your kid for a ~3 hr sailing experience. The counselor will work with kids to rig a Catalina and head out for a couple of hours.
NOTE: In order to accommodate this approach, we need a minimum number of sign-ups (3). If we don’t have enough participants in time (1 week before the date) we may cancel that date. In case of cancelation we will provide a full refund for that date.Price: $40/open-sail (includes sail card cost)
Participants: 4 kids max with a counselor on board.
Dates (Saturdays): 9/28, 10/26, 11/9, 12/14 (more to come in 2025)
Time: Drop off at the start of Open Sail (10am or 12pm depending on the time of year)
-
You can take out one of our kayaks anytime if you have been checked out by Joe. Send an email to president@sfsailing.org to reserve them and also let us know when you are back.

Member Events
Workdays, seminars, and field trips
SEA volunteers occasionally offer members additional educational and engagement opportunities including
Workdays to help maintain our fleet: A great way to learn about how to care for our boats, get to know other members, and help keep us afloat at the same time.
Seminars to learn more about sailing and sailboats: There’s always more to learn about sailing. Our board and many volunteers have decades of experience to share. We plan to offer casional seminars about different topics.
Field trips around the bay: There is a much larger community of sailing clubs and sailing organizations around the Bay area. We plan to offer field trips to other clubs and destinations.
Stay tuned for dates and details!
