
Beginning Sailing
Dominican University Rec Sports is partnering with Sailing Education Adventures (SEA) to offer a spring sailing class for Dominican University students, faculty, and staff.
Students will learn to tack, jibe, sail on all points of sail, dock the boat, and learn how to get into and out of the "safety position" and into and out of "irons". Safety and self-confidence are emphasized Class will cover basic knots, and rigging a simple small sailboat. Adult Beginning Sailing will be taught on the water using SEA’s 16.5’ Catalina keelboats. Dates: Fridays in April (4, 11, 18, 25)
Time: 1-5pm
Location: A Dock at Loch Lomond Marina 110 Loch Lomond Drive, San Rafael
Price: $350 (scholarships available - see below)
Scholarships
Dominican University is happy to offer a limited number of scholarships for students, faculty, or staff. Scholarships wil be awarded as either full ($100), half ($50), or patial ($25) based on needs outlined in an application.

Note: You will only be reimbursed for the scholarship after you have registered for the class here, so be sure to either register upfront for the class before applying, or return here to register once approved.
